BBQ Rosemary Chicken


Do you love BBQ but get overwhelmed with choosing a healthy option? Well, look no further! This healthy BBQ Rosemary Chicken is filled with flavor, takes 30 minutes to cook, and is the perfect meal to eat at a BBQ to not feel left out!

Servings: 2


1 tbsp fresh Rosemary (chopped)

2 tsp olive oil

1 tsp lemon zest (grated)

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 clove medium garlic (minced)

⅛ tsp salt 

⅛ tsp pepper

2 chicken breast halves (boneless, skinless, fat removed)

3 tbsp low sodium BBQ sauce

1 tsp honey

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar 

Nonstick cooking spray


  1. Stir together the oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper. Add in chicken, turned to coat and cover. Cover and refrigerate the marinade for 30 minutes- 8 hours. (If marinating for over 30 minutes, turn several times)
  2. Lightly spray the grill with cooking spray. Preheat the grill to medium heat
  3. Grill the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side- or until no pink center. 
  4. Transfer to plate!
  5. In a small saucepan, whisk together the BBQ sauce, vinegar and honey. Cook over a low-medium heat for a few minutes. Pour the mixture over the cooked chicken and enjoy!
