International Podcast Day: 7 Great Listens for 2021

A podcast is a digital audio file made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new installments of which can be received by subscribers automatically. They have been around for years but have recently become highly accessible and easier than ever to enjoy. You can now listen to podcasts for free, about any topic, anywhere at any time. With all of this at our fingertips, we encourage everyone to check out some of the great podcasts about healthy living, and information about type 2 diabetes. 

Why are podcasts good for you?

Listening to a podcast about type 2 diabetes can give additional insights, perspectives and ideas you may have never considered. It is a great way to learn new things and connect with others.  The excitement of learning new things can reduce depression and give you added sense of purpose while encouraging curiosity. 

Learning new things is good for you! When you learn something new you are exercising your brain, which can help improve cognitive functions such as concentration, attention to detail, memory recall and problem solving, and also reduce the chance of developing dementia.
